Description: Pre-owned hence the used condition Excellent condition it was never used to cut anything this was part of a family members collection of Western Cutlery knives. The knife is so clean I didn't even wipe it off for photos, there appear to be a few light scratches or blemishes on the blade likely from storing rubbing the snap when pushing in or out of the sheath and or lose in box. Model W36 was the biggest knife in the Western traditional hunter series in 1989. Featuring a big 5" blade, single tang and high carbon steel construction. The aluminum guard and pommel are tight and don't have any wiggle, and the laminated rosewood handle is beautiful and feels great in the hand. This extra strong, extra rugged knife weighs only 7.8 ounces and comes with the original molded leather sheath which is in excellent condition, as well as the cardboard blade guard for storage, warranty card (no warranty as the company went out of business in 1991). The original box has some wear from storage and a crease on one side, and care will need to be taken to avoid tearing flaps. The blade is stamped with WESTERN U.S.A.
