Description: Very good preowned condition with only minor signs of previous and typical use (shallow scratching/scuffing). Primitive appearance with a hand-painted feather/floral design. Speckled beige with blue accents. Heavy and substantial. Hand thrown by Westerwald Pottery of Scenery Hill, PA. The blue and grey salt glaze finish gives it a rustic farmhouse fabulous appeal, while the colonial style and handmade production technique make it a unique piece of art pottery. This piece of blue and grey stoneware was designed by Phil Schaltenbrand, owner and founder of Westerwald Pottery. Glaze is lead-free, microwave and dishwasher safe. All pieces are stamped with a potter's mark, dated 1985 and signed by the artist, but I’m unable to make out the artist’s signature. Approximate Measurements: 6” H x 3.5” lip diameter Bottom: 4” diameter Full Capacity: 28 to 29 oz Stored in a smoke free home.
