Vintage Yaesu FRG-7000 Communications Receiver Partially Working? Read

Description: I have to admit, I’m out of my element here. I don’t really know how to operate a ham radio. I changed the frequencies and got some different sounds, but nothing like a broadcast or human voice. More like cbc emergency broadcast pitches (but not exactly). It looks like the lights that light up the voltage meter is out. And somebody has removed all the screws around the housing so it has been worked on. I will attach at least one screw to send it out. But it will need a few more to keep it secure.
