Description: For sale is a Vintage Package of Christmas Wrapping Paper manufactured by Cleo Wrap Corporation in the 1960s to early 1970s. It contains 2 rolls of Christmas and holiday-themed wrapping paper, each with a different color scheme and design. After the rolls were expended, the box was intended to be reused as a deposit box for children's letters to Santa Claus. The box features a unique snap closure at the top, which I was able to open,. One of the rolls appears to be unused with a thin strip of transparent tape fastening the end of the paper to the rest of the roll. The other roll appears to have been used, as it is missing the strip of tape and shows signs of cutting. On this latter roll, there is also a minor snag at the bottom edge. However, this roll still appears to retain the majority of its original length. Considering its age, the outer packaging is in GOOD to VERY GOOD condition overall, with heavy creasing and crumpling of the lower left border of the cutout window on the front which extends onto the adjacent side panel. One of the paper handle straps at the top is completely torn in one spot with a heavy crease at another spot. The cellophane plastic window is still intact with no visible holes or tears, but it has separated from the inside of the box's front panel where it was once attached. It could be reglued if desired. Otherwise, the box shows minor wear and creasing, mostly contained to the very top and bottom edges. The colors of both the box and the enclosed wrapping paper are still very bright and vivid. Based on similar examples of Cleo wrapping paper packages from the same era, there may have been a printed paper note describing suggestions for reusing the box that would have been attached at the top handle. However, if there was one included with this package, it is long gone. Item comes from a smoke-free home.
