Description: P--#041Vintage Harrison Fisher illustration "Making Hay" This is an illustration page we removed from a book years ago (don't recall title of book, but this is old, probably from a time near the copyright date of 1905). The title is very fitting as it features a young man with a pitchfork and straw hat who is having a visit with his favorite lady. She is wearing a lovely Victorian style dress and is using her parasol for shade. This illustration is on a thicker paper stock used in books for illustrations, not the slick paper of magazines or the thin paper in books for text. The 8 1/2 by 11 inch illustration has not been trimmed; the edges have a tiny bit of wear, but overall this looks great and comes from a non-smoking home. Just a note: I have enjoyed "painting" color into these illustrations in the past. I would take watercolor pencils and add subtle coloring and the results were gorgeous.
