Description: This piece is a survivor! It is rare to see an early 1900s hibachi in such good condition. Beautifully figured hibachi with drawers and original lining. I believe this is from the Kansai Region of Japan. Hibachi like this were used with charcoal to heat water for tea and sake as well as provide heat for the room they are in. Can be used as a unique, beautiful low table in your home or as a coffee table, a bar or plant stand! I am not sure as to the exact wood it is made from.
