Holding each to the light, I found each bowl to have a smooth and glossy surface having only a couple of fine, light scratches - nothing that penetrates the clear finish glaze to mar the design beneath. Although exceptionally clean when found, these bowls have been carefully hand washed and towel dried, then safely stored in our pet-free, smoke-free home, and will arrive ready to use this holiday season.I will soon list other pieces of this pattern, including small dessert bowls, a second set of 3 cereal bowls, dinner, salad, and dessert plates, serving bowl, platters, tea pot, cups, saucers, creamer, sugar bowl, and salt and pepper shakers. Absolutely!Shipping Information To ensure their safe arrival, a thick sheet of foam packing material will be placed between the bowls before they are swaddled in multiple layers of bubble wrap, and packed in a snug-fitting custom made box. Then, the boxed bowls will be placed in a sturdy shipping carton lined on the top, bottom, and 4 sides with sheets of 5/8" Styrofoam. You will pay only the actual cost of shipping. This 3-piece set weighs exactly 1.8 pounds. Secure packing will likely increase shipping weight to the 3-4 pound range. If I have overestimated shipping weight, excess postage will be refunded to your original payment method the day your package is shipped. If you purchase multiple items, each item, or set of identical items, will be packed in its own snug-fitting custom made box, then the boxed items will be shipped in the same Styrofoam lined carton (up to a combined weight of 15 pounds).
