Description: Vintage MCM Pottery Ceramic Hand Crafted Coin Still Piggy Bank BIG MOUTH FISH with Cork Plug Stopper The one that didn't get away, this vintage MCM pottery ceramic coin bank was hand crafted to resemble the likeness of a big mouth fish. A nice collectors item this bank features a greenish turquoise blue underglaze with mottled black glaze stripes. The bulging bubble eyes have a rock or pebble like quality about them and may actually be small stones set into the clay material. The cork plug stopper is fitted tightly into place and it looks like it will not come out without damaging it. Mrs. Edna is not sure what it is made from, but the color and texture of it is similar to tree bark. This item is very good pre-owned vintage condition. There are no cracks, nicks, chips or repairs to the ceramic. There are a few light surface scuff/scratch marks. The cork plug shows wear and aging. Due to the hand crafting process involved in creating this piece there may be a few naturally occuring unique imperfections, such as pinholes in the glaze, extra bits of clay material and variation in the coloring, design and finish.
