Description: Beautiful color lithograph by Henri Matisse (1869-1954, France) “Still Life with Pomegranates” (Nature Morte Aux Grenades) – Plate-signed color lithograph after the original 1947 oil on canvas painting by Matisse, located at the Matisse Museum in Nice, France. Featured is a dish of pomegranates, placed on a table in front of a window with its frame allowing a glimpse of the palm-tree outside. The image was also used as a poster “Travail et Joie” (Work and Joy) to promote the city of Nice in The South of France. The lithograph is 20 1/2" by 16 x 1/4", with an image field of 14" by 11" and has been matted and placed in a slim black metal frame. Please note that the image field is smaller than the actual image field, as the matting partially obscures the edges of the lithograph. In excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear.
