Description: Presented here is a Vintage SWISS Caran d’Ache Madison Gold Plated Striated 14K M Nib Fountain Pen-SACMI Launched in the early 1970s, and still in production today as Madison Second Series, Madison are some of the most elegant pens made by Caran D'ache, and some of the most recognizable pens. Their recognizable trademark is the sword like shaped clip. This luxuriously elegant Swiss Made fountain pen has a Gold Plated cap & barrel with a subtle striated design. It is fitted with a 14K Gold Medium nib with a slight flex. This pen appears to be a high end promotional giveaway by SACMI Group and their logo decal is attached to the clip. The pen is in excellent pre-owned vintage condition with very light signs of use (possibly unused). Here are the details: Cap & Barrel: A subtly striated design Gold Plated cap and barrel with a sword shaped clip. The clip has the SACMI logo attached. Top of barrel is signed CARAN D’ACHE – SWISS – GOLD PLATED – G (and a marking that I can’t make out). Both cap & barrel are in excellent condition with micro scratches visible on magnification. No deep scratches, dents or scuff marks. No loss of plating on cap, barrel or clip and they are lustrous. NO PERSONALIZATIONS ON CAP OR BARREL Nib & Feed: It is fitted with a signed 14K Gold medium Nib that is in excellent condition. Markings are crisp and clear. I tested it with dipping in ink and it is a smooth writer with a light flex. See writing sample in the last pic. The feed & section are extremely clean as well. Nib is marked 14K – 585 – CARAN D’ACHE – M. Filling System: This pen comes with its original green converter that is signed. The converter is clean. Size: Almost 5.35” long capped and 0.36” wide at cap. I have included several pictures of the Fountain Pen and its parts. Please review them carefully as they are part of the description. It is not common to find a Vintage Caran d’Ache Fountain pen in this condition. It will be the envy of other executives you work with and a complete joy to write with.
