Description: Pair of vintage men's US Army issue mittens with leather palm and heavy wool insert/liner. Korean War era. Dated 1950 & 1951 as shown below. Mitten shell inside reads:Mitten-Shell, Trigger Finger M-1951Size MSpec. No. Mil-M-810A Dated 24 August 1950S. Buchsbaum & Co.Cont. No. DA-11-009-OM-5640Manufactured 1951 These have been used and there is some staining on the leather of the right mitten shell as shown in photos. No holes observed in shell. The photographs show one place where seam might show wear. The wool liners are substantial/thick. There is some possible moth damage, as shown in photos: the top sides of both liners have small holes but certainly still wearable with lots of life left. One liner has what appears to be traces of the leather shell on it, as shown in photos. While the mittens say they are a size medium, the shell is quite large to accommodate the liner. They do have a strap to tighten. Shell measures 14.5" from cuff to tip. It is 5" across where leather meets fabric on palm and a little wider at thumb opening. Mittens and liners together weigh ~10 oz. Note: these have been in storage and have not been cleaned. Please contact seller with any questions. Seller does not offer returns/refunds. Thank you. Note: recycled shipping materials may be used.
