This figurine is one of twenty-five from the Whimsie-land series including set 1 from 1984 (Pet presentation boxes): Retriever, Puppy, Rabbit, Kitten and Pony. set 2 from 1984/5 (Wildlife presentation boxes): Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Panda and Giraffe. set 3 from 1985 (Farmyard presentation boxes): Cockerel (aka Rooster), Duck, Cow, Pig and Goat. set 4 from 1986 (Hedgerow presentation boxes): Fox, Owl, Hedgehog, Badger and Squirrel. set 5 from 1987 (British Wildlife presentation boxes): Pheasent, Field Mouse, Golden Eagle, Otter and Partridge. For the Whimsie-land series, Wade took extra effort in the detail sculpting of these figurines with fine glazes adding to the quality of a fine collectible. Photos are of the figurines you will receive. As with all Wades, there is a chance for a manufacturing flaw and / or loss of glaze. Be sure to review photos prior to committing to a purchase.
