Description: Walter Bosse (ウォルターボッセ) Fox/狐 Walter Bosse first started producing his collectible figures in the late 1940s, starting with pottery and moving into brass. He used a unique method of acid-etched patina on polished brass; the patina is polished off to reveal shiny brass beneath. Excellent example of an ultra rare Austrian brass fox by Walter Bosse. This is a huge fox sculpture for Walter Bosse, see the size comparison with one of Bosse's regular fox figurines in the photos. In great condition with good patina. Unmarked. I believe this is from the 1960s from the sandiness of the casting, the small shape of the eyes and the matte finish in the patina. The casting has excellent detail to it. Condition: Overall excellent with minor casting flaw above the right eye (where an eyebrow would be). See photos. 7.5" long x 4.5" tall x 2.5" deep
