Description: Walter the Jockey by Robert Harrop - Walter is from the earliest Robert Harrop Collection - the “County Set”, made by Robert Harrop personally, the base bears his moulded signature from the original sculpture, and is initialed by the painter. His name is “Walter” as evidenced by his name on the side - the is beautifully dressed as a jockey, holing his saddle behind his back. There were very few of each figure in this set produced, especially new, the “County Set” pre-dates the formation of the company which was in 1986, and was at a time when Harrop and his wife were working out of their cottage, with only two other artists - it’s hand painted and in perfect condition. This figurine would have been made between 1980-1982 "County Set" series which preceded the “Country Companions” series which ultimately became the series marketed as 'Doggie People' today. @ 4 1/2” x 6 1/4” x 4 1/8” deep I always combine shipping
