Description: WARNER BROTHERS. LOONEY TUNES AND MERRIE MELODIES. HAIRY GOSSAMER MONSTER. From the Golden Age of American animation. Animated short comedy cartoon films produce from 1930-1969. Most of the characters were first introduced in Merrie melodies cartoons. Bugs, Daffy, Elmer Fudd, Porky and Petuna Pig, were early creations. In the mid 1940's we started getting characters like Pepe Le' Pew, Sylvester, Tweety, Yosemite Sam and Foghorn Leghorn. Henery Hawk and Barnyard Dog came shortly thereafter. Marvin the Martian 1947. Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner were 1949. Speedy Gonzalez and Taz as well. Granny and Sylvester Jr. came in 1950. Sam Sheepdog came in 1953 with Ralph Wolf (essentially Wile E. Coyote). Lola Bunny came a few years later. Gossamer showed up on a few limited times over the years. First appearing in "Hair-Raising Hare" in 1946. Appearing again in "Water, Water Every Hare" in 1952. Then a movie in 1980 where Marvin the Martian refers to the monster as 'Gossamer' for the first time. He has also been called 'Rudolf' and just 'Monster'.ITEM DESCRIPTION: Gossamer miniature monster. 1990's. Was originally part of a six pack collection of window hangers and fridge magnets. Excellent adult preowned condition. Hand painted. Mini magnet on back to hang on your fridge or other metal object. Small magnet, not very strong. Please view all photos as they are the best part of the description. Does not appear to show any wear or damage. Looks amazing. Bright red. 2 monster eyes buried in a thick coat of unruly red fur. A giant heart shaped face wearing a pair of white tennis sneakers. What a fun character he was. Measures about 1-1/2 inches tall. Item has been turned and rotated so all sides are pictured.
