Description: For offer a vintage Welch Scientific Company desk display model of a piston. This is a cutaway model to demonstrate how a piston works. I believe these were used in schools. This model is cast iron painted with a thick black enamel. There is an electric light bulb at the end, designed to light up when the piston meets the end. It needs to be connected an electrical wire. Overall condition is very good, there are age marks to the metal & some paint chips. Please look at the photos. It is in working condition, I do not know the age, it looks like the 1930's or earlier.
