Her left hand holds a hand mirror. She turns her head, inspecting her beautiful reflection, as she runs a finger delicately along the outline of her gentle face. Her Cocker Spaniel companion sits at her heel with a piece of garment in his mouth that she has dropped. The sculpture reminisces the ancient Classical era yet has a modern abstract flair to its composition. The bronze maiden was captured by the archaic lost-wax method of casting and finished with a brown patina stain.
