All correct matching numbers stamped 1937: The body, induction coil, E1 handset, F1 transmitter, 4H dial and receiver are all stamped 1937. The bells have the early brass clapper with no date as they were in 1937. This is a highly collectible phone with Original Paint in nice condition as photos show. This First year 1937 302 has unique features that are not found on the later years including: Short Cradle Ears E1 handset 4H dial Cork at the Base of the Dial to hold bell frame Flat base under the Capacitor Larger Capacitor Holder Different gong (40A and B) 1937 F1 element is flat Some have vents under the cradle, this does not. The 4H dial was cleaned, lightly oiled and checked for calibration and works nicely. The porcelain dial shows nice crisp numbers. The metal body is original paint in nice condition for being 85 years old as photos show.The cloth covered handset cord is original not reproduction. The line cord was replaced so that it will plug into today's modern phone lines. The bottom and insides of the phone look like new. The phone is fully functional. It sounds like an old time phone. All antique rotary phones require a traditional landline for dialing out. If you have another type of phone service, check with your provider as you may need a pulse to tone converter to dial out.
