This 10 1/2" long Magic Wand has been turned by hand on a wood lathe. There is only one like it! I made it out of a gorgeous piece of stock I had in my wandmaker's stash... and I don't know for sure what kind it is. I suspect it is a North American Poplar. But this doesn't detract from the amazing grain patterns from tip to pommel of this wand! I made sure to highlight it with a bit of stain... and wow, did it "pop"! The effect is stunning! I have used a very specific finishing protocol to protect the wood and highlight the detail of the wood's grain. The high-quality gloss finish can protect the wood for many years but you should keep it dry and protect it from scrapes and scuffs or drops to the floor. Of course, you also need to use the wand safely. Young apprentices might need guidance by more experienced Witches and Wizards. The wood of this wand is not as tough as an oak or ash... so care should be taken to prevent rough handling. You don't want to sit on it like Ron Weasley did his... Oh… and please don’t go turning anyone into a Newt with your magic wand. Use your magic only for good!
