Thank you for your interest. collector description: Guidon from the 1st Battalion, 124 Field Artillery Regiment, 33rd Infantry Division, possibly 66th Infantry Brigade. I am unsure as to whether the guidon was a WWI or WWII vintage though it more likely WWII. The 124th was participated in the Pacific theater and initially had 75mm cannon but eventually received 105s. It was an Illinois National Guard unit at the beginning of the war. During WWI it was in France and participated with the U.S. III Corps, 33rd Division in the Meuse-Argonne Campaign. I bought it from Stephen Shillings in 1997 who lived in Chicago at the time of my purchase.
