Description: Original WW2 era GERMAN map entitled "NEUSOHL (Banska Bystrica)" produced for the INVASION of CZECHOSLOVAKIA It's headed "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" (equivalent to a "RESTRICTED" British military map). Printed in during increased tensions between the two countries. The resulting German annexation of the 'Sudetenland' inevitably led to the full invasion of Czechoslovakia just a few months later. The map includes a stretch of the border with Poland. An early piece from the developing Eastern Front in great condition. Excess margins have apparently been trimmed at some point in its history. From a large collection recently sold off by Edinburgh University - hence ink stamping to margin. (Following both World Wars, the government distributed excess stocks of Allied maps, along with captured enemy examples, to various national institutions such as libraries, museums, universities etc.) Will be shipped as per its existing fold lines. Please see my other WW2 (and WW1) maps, documents, photos etc. PLEASE NOTE - Following BREXIT, items exported from the UK to EU countries may now incur import tariffs on arrival.
