Description: EXTREMELY RARE. This was my great grandfather's violin case. This WWI antique bag/case is a true gem for collectors and music enthusiasts alike. It's made of fabric with four snaps and leather trim, and a side handle. The violin would be slid into this case by opening the snaps. 3 of the metal snaps open smoothly. The 4th (on the back side) is hard to open, and there is a rip along the seam near this snap, so I didn't want to force it. (the final photo shows the rip at the seam.) Please see photos for all wear and tear. The leather trim around the entire case is very worn as to be expected due to its age. From a smoke free home, A truly RARE piece. 20.5" long Approx 7" wide at base. 3" wide at top. Approx 2.75" deep. The case is currently stuffed to maintain its shape.
