Description: For your consideration is this WWII ERA VINTAGE MILITARY WRISTWATCH - ORVIN E. James Renz.The watch needs servicing and currently is not working. From the pics you can see that the movement is clean and free of corrosion. Crown rotates freely and is not overwound or locked up. The crystal is cracked near the 4:00 number. It is highly possible that the crack occured in war time action and might have been returned to the family of a fallen solder. I have sold watches from WWI that were taken off a person in a trench. Others like this are listed for several hundred dollars in working condition. We are listing this far lower to allow the buyer to have the watch service and repaired to their likeing and cost. An Orvin Watch Co was mentioned in "Quick Fit Swiss Material Systems" by E. James Renz, New York, 1952. The company was first listed in 1923 as well as 1940-1946.
