Description: For your consideration is a beautiful WWII Arlo (Aero) A-2 Jacket Contract 42-18775-P, in dark russet Horsehide with Aero brick knits in Size 48. Measurements: Pit to pit - 25" Front length - 23.5" Back length - 26" Shoulder - 20.5" Arm - 26" This is an exact reproduction from Headwind Mfg of the Aero 42-18775-P contract from 1942. All pattern details and features were copied from a real 1942 original jacket. Headwind is known for producing unique historic flight jackets and the Aero contracts, with their "Red Brick" Color knits found only on these jackets, making them a standout among the WWII A-2 jackets. The name Arlo was chosen for the label as the Aero name is under copyright restrictions. The leather drape on this horsehide is exceptional, and reminiscent of original A-2's photographed during the war. The pattern is from the 1940's when sizes ran smaller. This contract had a slightly more roomy fit than some of the other contracts in the shoulders and torso. The jacket is in excellent condition, barely worn, no issues.
