Description: For sale is a very rarely seen and never for sale WWII era USMC genuine Colt 22/45 conversion kit. This kit is authenticated by a Colt Factory letter showing it was shipped to the United States Marine Corps Quartermaster, Philadelphia, PA on October 27, 1942. These kits were used by the USMC for marksmanship training purposes and to save money by using 22LR ammunition instead of the larger and more expensive 45 ACP ammo. This kit is complete with the original box, 22LR magazine, barrel, slide, slide lock and spring. All components are present including the manual. It comes in a custom engraved wooden and felt lined, lockable display case that is absolutely beautiful and displays this kit wonderfully. This conversion kit does have some wear showing that it was used during it's service life but it is still in overall very good condition with no rust or pitting and almost all of it's original finish still remaining. The display case is flawless with no scratches to the wood or stains or tears at all to the felt. Do not let this USMC kit slip past you. These rarely come up for sale. It may be years or never until you see one again and probably not one like this.
