Description: Replacement set of keyboard damping felts for Yamaha DX5, DX7 / Korg 01/W, 01/Wfd, 01/W Pro, M1, T2, T3, Wavestation, Wavestation EX. These felt strips significantly dampen the unwanted mechanical noise and clicking of the keys, level the height of the keys and make playing the instrument more enjoyable. Custom made, tested for optimal key swing height and keyboard action. Replacement for the original white felt strips. Material: coloured felt Length of each felt: 124 cm / 48.8 in (full length is for 88-key keyboards; can be cut) Contents: 1 upper and 1 lower damping strip Note:These keyboard components require professional installation. First, you need to carefully remove the keyboard, the contact plates from the keyboard chassis, then the securing bar, all the keys (there are springs under the keys), clean and degrease the entire keyboard chassis. The wider bottom tape is glued to the Aftertouch tape - extreme care must be taken here! When removing the old felt strip, it is recommended to heat it locally with a hot air gun set to approx. 120 °C for about 10 seconds and peel it off slowly (see photo). Degrease the area under the tape with isopropanol and carefully stick a new one. We only sell the complete set of top and bottom tape. If you don't feel confident repairing it by yourself, we recommend entrusting the instrument to a qualified service technician. The price is for 1 set of strips (1 upper and 1 lower damping strip).
