Description: Up for bid is a YANMAR 2GM20F Marine Diesel 2 Cylinder Engine. This has a peak output of 18HP, and a continuous rating of 16hp. This includes the attached Kanzaki KM2-A Transmission with a 2.62 gear ratio. This is a "fresh water cooled" engine, so it has a circuit of antifreeze that is pumped through the block and head, the antifreeze is cooled in a heat exchanger via sea water. This listing only includes what is seen in the pictures. Please take a look at the high resolution images, video and pictures and read full listing before bidding. The video shows the engine running at idle, modulation the throttle, and shifting the transmission. The engine appears to have had the engine mounts and exhaust elbow changed at some point in the not so distant past. This engine was removed from a boat that had hull damage and was deemed a total loss by the insurance company (The boat did not take on water). The boat operated under its own power to the boatyard where it was ultimately dismantled. I have listed it in this category because I have not personally operated it in a boat. I have only run it on blocks for to make the video for the listing. I ran it on blocks for approx. 30 minutes. The engine started easily: I bled the air from the fuel filter and high pressure pump via a primer bulb, I supplied water to the the raw water pump, and powered 12V to the "battery terminal" on the starter solenoid. Then I jumped the "battery terminal" to the "start terminal" - the engine fired right up.
