Description: This uncirculated 1,000 Zambian kwacha note is dated 2006 and signed by Bank of Zambia Governor Caleb Mailoni Fundanga. The polymer note has a red-violet color scheme and dimensions of 140 mm by 70 mm. Its front side contains the Zambian emblem, a jacaranda tree, and a picture of a fish eagle perched on a branch. Its reverse side contains an aardvark, a man driving a tractor on a sorghum field, and the Freedom Statue in Lusaka. Because the note is printed on a polymer substrate, it does not have a security thread. However, it has a fish eagle watermark and a dove registration device. The note was later demonetized in 2015.
